Under The Covers - Bobby Womack sings “California Dreamin”

Under The Covers, Video

womack Under The Covers Bobby Womack sings California DreaminBobby Womack was one hip cat. He jumped around styles with wild abandon. You want soul? You goddit. How about some folk? Boy, I can knock folk out in my sleep! Before you start, I can do jazz, funk and guess whut? Those Rolling Stone punks stole one of my tunes and made me rich, bitch! Yep. Bobby Womack was one talented cat.
In the ’70s, Bob took a liking to cover versions, getting people’s tunes and making them his own. Fred Neil’s “Everybody’s Talkin’”, “Fly Me to the Moon” and “California Dreamin” all got a work-out Womack-style. It’s the latter that we’re looking at, so if you wanna take a peak over the jump, you’ll be able to press play and have a listen to one of the finest cover versions ever. Enjoy.
