The Knife’s Karin Dreijer returns as Fever Ray, continues to make every day feel like Halloween
This is splendid news for those who feared The Knife’s forthcoming opera-shaped side project would mean a lack of pants-pooing Swedish pop menace over the next year or so.
Karin Dreijer’s project Fever Ray has unveiled its first video, “If I Had A Heart”, and while it lacks the danceability of some of The Knife’s finest moments, it is identifiably part of the same spooky pop lineage. I’m not sure what else to say about it really, except that as soon as it ended I wanted a) to hear it again, b) my mummy.
An album is due to follow in March. Links to download the track can be found here.
