That Tropicana Smoothies “Catch A Falling Star” ad: all you need to know

You might have seen that whizzy new ad for Tropicana Smoothies on your tellybox recently. It features lots of fruit apparently exploding, over a female voice crooning Perry Como’s “Catch A Falling Star”.
This is one of those instances where people are going to see the ad and just DIE if they don’t find out who sings it, etc. So allow me to fill you in.

The cover is performed by a lady named Nina Wall, and this is her MySpace page. Er, “Catch A Falling Star” appears to be the only song on there at the moment, but there’s also a rather lengthy Q&A, should you require such a thing.
On Friday the Tropicana folk made the track available for download - but only 1,000 “copies” were available, so if you want it I’d head over there sharpish.
It’s all a rather canny campaign by the smoothie folk really, although personally I could have done without the closer on their website:
“With her natural gifts and stunning presence, Nina is set to become a new sensation - just like Tropicana Smoothies.”
