“Paper Planes” receives further milking thanks to pointless 50 Cent guest rap, pointless single release
Did “Paper Planes” need “improving” by getting 50 Cent to phone in a guest rap? Not really, but then again having a hip-hop superstar jump your bandwagon is a surefire sign that a Brit act is well on the way to US superstardom (see also: Jay-Z’s needless contribution to Wino’s “Rehab”). Listen to M.I.A and Fiddy’s collaboration - which almost certainly occurred without them actually meeting - at Fat Lace.
In other news, “Paper Planes” is apparently going to get a UK single release in October. Of course the fact that it’s already huge, and anyone who wants to own it probably does by now, kind of highlights that single releases are pretty pointless nowadays. Still - only six weeks until that official release, folks!
