Nominate your favourite South-Eastern European dance artists for South-Eastern European music glory!

Lost In Translation, Music News

seemee Nominate your favourite South Eastern European dance artists for South Eastern European music glory! Here on Le Toilet we have a little spot for foreign music which doesn’t really make sense to our oh-so-sophisticated Brit Brains. It’s basically a chance to take cheap if affectionate shots at those crazy continentals and all that. Well, my karma-ometer tells me that it might be about time to give the Euros a little love. So I am now going to tell you about the South-East European Music Event - or SEEME. Clever, huh?
This event will take place in June in the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia, and will award a few South-East European dance types for their efforts.

What awards are up for grabs? Oh, only:
1. Best South East European dj
2. Best South East European producer
3. Best South East European upcoming artist
4. Best South East European track
4. Best South East European remix
6. Best South East European cd compilation
7. Best South East European label
8. Best South East European club
9. Best South East European promoter
10. Best South East European dance event
11. Best South East European dance radio show
12. Best South East European dance tv show
13. Best South East European music magazine
14. Best South East European music shop
15. Best Global DJ (voted by South East Europe)

Nice to see they’ve opened up one of the awards to The World, even if it’s only Bulgaria and their neighbours that are allowed to vote for it. The good news is if you’re a fan of a South-Eastern dance radio show - and you surely are? - you can nominate and vote for your fave!
I would encourage you to check out the website for the event at least, as it includes sentences like:

“Young European dance music maniacs gather here for a non-stop party, as well as for a more sophisticated intercultural event, we call a conference (just the sound of it!).”

Oh, and the event takes place at the Central Military Club, which sounds much more exciting than The O2, no? If you go along you might want to behave yourself, that’s all.
