aerosmith Hard Rock Cafe presents Hyde Park Calling: Aerosmith, Peter Gabriel and Crowded House headlineA week after O2 Wireless has shaken Hyde Park to its core (maybe), it’s Hard Rock Cafe’s turn to sponsor a central London music extravaganza (at least there’s a vague musical connection there, eh?). Like O2 Wireless, it’s a no-camping affair, so you won’t need to worry about waking up in the mud (unless you consume too many brewskis).

It’s the second Hyde Park Calling, with the Saturday providing more of a mainstream vibe and the Sunday catering to rock fans. Saturday will feature Crowded House, Peter Gabriel, The Feeling and The Feeling’s heirs to pop-rock stardom, Ghosts. The day of ROCK has Jet, Chris Cornell and Aerosmith - who will be playing their first UK show in eight years.
At the time of writing tickets are still available for the 40,000 capacity event and can be bought from the official website - single day tickets are £45, with weekend tickets going for £80 (both prices are excluding booking / transaction fees).
If you’re wondering how Sunday’s headliners Aerosmith translate to the live setting, below you can see them performing “Dream On”. Don’t know where, don’t know when - but stadium-pleasing ROCK such as this exists outside the boundaries of space and time, dunnit.
