I usually have to have a quick listen before parting with my hard earned pennies. However, that isn’t the case with the Super Furry Animals. SFA are a band that I will blindly follow, solo projects and all… which is why I’m getting all excited at the prospect of a new album/project from Gruff Rhys.
The singer already has a couple of cracking solo LPs under his belt (including the wonderful ‘Candylion’ from earlier this year), and now, he’s teaming up with artist and producer Boom Bip under the name of Neon Neon. I might just wet my pants I’m so giddy. The duo’s debut, dubbed ‘Stainless Style’ will be released next February, and features contributions from Fab Moretti of The Strokes, Har Mar Superstar, Yo Majesty, Spank Rock and The Magic Numbers. A single, ‘Raquel’, will be released on 26th November.
