Dispatches From Beardsville - Leonard Cohen to go on world tour?
Leonard Cohen has been a little quiet of late. Well, in fairness, he’s always been pretty quiet. His rich melodious baritone murmur made a nation of hippy hearts swoon. So with that, you’ll be pretty pleased to know that Mr Cohen might be going on a world tour. A posting on Leonardcohenforum.com reads: “The following advance notice is posted with Leonard’s permission. Leonard Cohen will be touring with his band in Canada and US in May and in Europe in the summer. More details will be announced in February.”
Cohen has been off the track for 15 years and this will be a welcome return to the stage for his fans. 15 years is a helluva long time to wait. It would seem that Lenny needs to get back on the road to earn some quick bucks as he’s accused his business manager Kelley Lynch of defrauding him of $5million. Mustn’t grumble. At least he’s going to earn his dough. There’s no official word yet, but when there is, we’ll tell you all about it with tour dates and the like.
