Well, this fellow could legitimately be described as “odd”. Dan Deacon is currently causing quite a fuss amongst bloggy hipster types who had no idea “Nathan Barley” was basically all about them. Pitchfork have given him a virtually unheard of 8.7 out of 10, while Drowned In Sound proclaim that “the man’s live shows FUCKING RULE.”
You know when Spike Jonze directed and starred in Fatboy Slim’s “Praise You” video? Imagine his character let loose on a keyboard, some voice-changey things and a mic, and you get this. It is rather catchy, though…
