monkeyalex Arctic Monkeys in ‘friendly good turn’ shocker
Find yourself somewhere to sit down and get a nice warm cup of tea before you even think about reading this one. The notoriously grumpy and fame-shunning Arctic Monkeys have actually done a nice favour for another band. How very showbiz.
Digital Spy reports the band stepped in to the rescue of a needy Queens Of The Stone Age in Texas last week after their usual support acts left them high and dry. But more than that, Alex Turner and co actually offered their services to Josh Homme and the boys entirely unprompted and then were quoted as ‘thoroughly enjoying’ the experience. Blimey. Could the showbiz fairy dust finally be thawing their icy Sheffield demeanour? Watch this space.

When have the arctic monkeys been anything other than friendly, helpful and polite. True, they try not to advertise or sell themselves to the media, they choose to concentrate on their music instead. But they are always extremely friendly, funny and they will do all they can to help someone out
