About
My Chemical Toilet was born in summer 2007 as a blog dedicated to festivals. It gradually evolved into a more general music blog when the following blinding realisations were reached:
a) Festivals tend to be seasonal, duh.
b) Writing about festivals you’re not attending is pretty goshdarn dull.
So My Chemical Toilet is a music blog, but hopefully not a tediously worthy one. It believes that while music is the best thing in the world, it’s possible to demonstrate a passion for it and laugh at it at the same time.
My Chemical Toilet is not interested in what constitutes “real music”, it does not restrict itself to select genres and it only copies and pastes from press releases if there’s an amusing reason for doing so.
In short, My Chemical Toilet sees the music landscape as one big pantomime, with heroes to champion, villains to hiss, and LOLZ aplenty to be had in the process.
