- This year’s Glastonbury – hailed ‘one of the best’ despite some sound issues. In particular Shirley Bassey’s diamante wellies.
- Hot Chip storming Wild In The Country.
- Spiderman succeeding in silencing Snow Patrol at T In The Park. With great power comes great responsibility etc.
- The aptly named Indian Summer staying dry for a scorching Flaming Lips show closer.
- Latitude… managing to draw older audience members away from Glastonbury.
- The rock-fest that was Pearl Jam, Daft Punk and LCD Soundsystem headlining Lollapalooza.
- Och aye the noo… Calvin Harris on storming home turf form at Live At Loch Lomond.
- Mercury nominee Bat For Lashes wowing at Field Day. She won’t be on a small stage for much longer.
- The Foo Fighters and Snow Patrol’s mutual love-in at V.
- Victoria Williams quietly stealing the thunder at Green Man.
- The Chemical Brothers’ mind blowing light show accompanying a brilliant set at Creamfields.
- Super Furry Animals at Jersey Live – exploding amps in true rock n’ roll style.
- Primal Scream at Bestival, managing to stay cool despite Suggs from Madness’ drunken stage invasion.
